Introduction
We strive to protect your privacy when you register as a member of our Tenant Engagement or otherwise use our
digital services. Placewise AS (Company No. 982 11 110) is the Data Controller for the personal data you
provide,
and we store and process personal data according to Personal Data Acts and Regulations. Personal data means any
information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
Lawfulness of processing
We process your personal data when you register as a member of our Tenant Engagement and give your consents to
having your personal data processed for the purposes you have consented to.
We may use the personal data we collect or receive about you depending on our legitimate interests for the following purposes: improve and further develop the services for the benefit of you and other users, and to present and analyse aggregated data.
Our privacy policy describes how we process your personal data and what your rights are as a registered member. The content of our privacy policy may be changed, and changes will be published on our website or in our mobile applications. We will notify you in case of significant changes.
You may at any time cancel your membership in Tenant Engagement, or withdraw your consents in part or in full.
Placewise AS uses sub-contractors for storing data and technical solutions for sending SMS and emails.
Our Data Processors handle your personal data in accordance with our instructions. We require our data processors to ensure necessary measures in order to handle your personal data in a secure manner, including not sharing your data with other parties without your consent.
What personal data do we collect?
We collect personal data regarding your membership in Tenant Engagement and when you use our other digital
services.
Collected data may include:
- mobile number,
- name,
- email address,
- any other data you provide, or that we may access through your subscription to newsletters/SMS.
We may use number lookup to ease your registration. You are responsible for correcting any errors or incorrect data stored with your mobile number.
In addition we collect and process behavioural data related to your use of coupons and other statistics based on your usage of our apps or other services. If the Tenant Engagement contains a bonus program, we also collect and process your bonus program history (earned points). If the bonus program is based on purchases, we also collect and store your transaction history.
When you use our digital services such as apps, website and coupons, we collect and process your IP address, browser and operating system type, approximate location and which website you visited before entering our website. Use of our digital services is logged for statistical analysis purposes.
We only collect the personal data we consider to be necessary to fulfill the purposes of processing, and we aim to make sure the data is up to date and correct.
What is the data used for?
The main purpose for collecting your personal data is to being able to communicate with you best way possible.
In addition your personal data is collected and processed in order to give you the best employee experience.
Your personal data and the collected information will be used to communicate with you through e-mail and/or your mobile phone, and push messages.
We use profiling in order to personalize our service offers and related communication, if you have consented to this. This may include data relating to the opening of newsletters, clicks on SMS links, the opening of push communication and statistics on app use. We may also collect personal data from our partners, e.g. Bisnode. If you would like to withdraw your consent to this type of profiling, you are free to do so at any time
You may at any time unregister from Tenant Engagement and withdraw your consent to receive communication from mall management.
For how long is your personal data stored?
Your personal data is only stored as long as it is required for us to provide our services to you, or as defined
by
law. As long as your membership exists your registered data will be kept. When you or your manager / mall
manager
opt-out of the Tenant Engagement, your personal data will be deleted.
Anonymized data (which cannot be connected to you as an individual, and hence is no longer personal data) may be kept for statistical purposes.
What are your rights?
As a member of our Tenant Engagement, you have the following rights according to the Personal Data
Act/Regulation:
- Right to access - you have the right to access the personal information we process concerning you
- Right to rectification - you have the right to obtain rectification of any inaccurate personal data
concerning you without undue delay
- Right to be forgotten - you have the right to demand that all personal data concerning you is
erased
- Right to restriction of processing - you have the right to demand that we stop processing of your
personal
data
- Right to data portability - you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a
commonly
used machine-readable format
- Right to withdraw consent(s) - you may at any time withdraw your consent given for processing your
personal
data and using the data for marketing purposes, partially or in full
- Right to lodge a complaint - you have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our processing of
your
personal data to the supervisory authorities. In Norway this is Datatilsynet, and contact information may be

- Right to information in case of a personal data breach - if a personal data breach is likely to
result
in a
high risk to the rights and freedoms of our members, you will be notified.

Using such analysis gives us the ability to see the user interactions in the app, for example number of users that have clicked on a menu item, number of new and existing users, frequency of use etc. The data is used to optimize offers and improve the user experience in the apps, as well as analysing which activities that generate app usage.
